Trailers get worked harder and inspected less than the trucks pulling them. A trailer that spends its life being loaded by forklift, dragged over rough yards, and left outdoors accumulates structural damage quietly until something fails.

Trailer and Chassis Body Repair questions

Can a cracked trailer frame be repaired?

Usually yes. The crack ends are drilled to stop propagation, the joint is prepared and welded, and the area is reinforced. Simply welding over a crack without stopping it will reopen at the same place.

How do I know when a trailer floor needs replacing?

Soft spots underfoot, visible rot at the edges, and fasteners that will not stay tight. Once the deck is flexing under load the crossmembers are usually next, so it is worth catching early.

Do you repair suspension on trailers?

Leaf springs, hangers, equalizers, bushings, and air ride components, yes. This is body and running gear work, not brake certification.

Can you repair a bent trailer frame after a collision?

Yes, with measurement first. A trailer that has been hit and straightened by eye will track badly and wear tires, which is a recurring cost rather than a one-time repair.
