Trailer and Chassis Body Repair

Trailer Floor and Decking Replacement

Trailer floor work replaces rotted or damaged decking in wood, laminate, aluminum, or steel, repairs the crossmembers beneath, and restores the floor perimeter seal on enclosed trailers.

Deck and structure together

A failing deck is usually accompanied by crossmember corrosion, because whatever water rotted the deck also sat on the steel underneath it. Replacing the deck alone puts new material on a failing support structure.

On enclosed trailers we also find and fix where the water was entering, since the deck will simply rot again otherwise.

  • Full and sectional deck replacement
  • Hardwood, laminate, aluminum and steel decking
  • Crossmember repair and replacement
  • Water entry source identification on enclosed units
  • Perimeter and edge sealing
  • Optional protective coating

FAQ

Trailer Floor and Decking Replacement questions

Can I replace only part of the floor?
Yes, when the surrounding deck is sound. Sectional replacement is common and much cheaper.
Which decking material is best?
It depends on the load. Hardwood is repairable and forgiving. Aluminum is lighter and does not rot. Steel takes the most abuse. We will match it to what the trailer actually carries.
How long does a full deck take?
Four to forty labor hours depending on trailer size and how much crossmember work is needed.
