Fleet Collision Repair

A collision repair on a commercial vehicle is a sequence, not a single operation. We start with a full damage assessment that includes photographs, measurements, and a written report. Only after that do we build the estimate, because a visual walkaround on a box truck misses the frame and body mount damage that sits behind the skin.

From there the job moves through teardown, structural correction, panel repair or replacement, refinishing, reassembly, and a final quality inspection. Each stage produces documentation that supports the claim and gives you a record of exactly what was done.

A passenger car body shop and a fleet collision shop solve different problems. On a fleet vehicle the body is often structural, the upfit equipment has to come off and go back on, and the graphics have to be reproduced rather than just polished. A shop that treats a box truck like a large sedan will miss all three.

There is also the downtime math. On a delivery van earning revenue every day it runs, an extra week in the shop can cost more than the deductible. We sequence parts ordering against the teardown schedule specifically so the vehicle is not sitting in a bay waiting on a panel that could have been ordered a week earlier.

We bill direct with every major carrier. The estimate goes to the adjuster with the supporting photographs attached, and when teardown exposes damage that was not visible during the initial inspection we write a supplement rather than absorbing it or surprising you with it at pickup.

Insurance billed work may be written at carrier negotiated labor rates that differ from our posted retail rates. That is normal and it does not change the repair itself.
