# Food and Beverage Distribution

Food and beverage fleets run refrigerated and dry bodies on tight delivery windows. Body integrity is a food safety matter as well as a maintenance one, because a compromised insulated panel or a failed door seal puts the cold chain at risk.

Who this is for: Distribution fleet manager running refrigerated straight trucks and trailers on daily delivery routes.

On a refrigerated body, a damaged panel is a thermal leak. In an Orange County summer that means the reefer unit runs continuously trying to hold set point, which costs fuel, shortens the unit's life, and puts the load at risk on the longest days.

The repair that gets skipped most often is the door seal, which is inexpensive and is one of the largest sources of thermal loss on any reefer body. It pays for itself quickly in reduced runtime.

We also see a lot of previous repairs that skinned over crushed or wet insulation. That looks fixed and is not, and it shows up as condensation forming on the interior wall in one specific spot. The correct repair replaces the core.
