# Cab and Chassis Respray

A cab and chassis respray refinishes the tractor or cab unit and the exposed chassis components as a coordinated job. It is common at lease turn-in, at resale preparation, and when a used unit is being brought into a fleet running a standard corporate color.

Range: $5,000 to $35,000 and up

Collision estimates for insurance claim walk-ins carry no charge. Systems estimates are $150 and diagnostics are $285 per hour, both credited against an authorized repair.

## Bringing a used unit into fleet colors

Buying used and repainting into fleet colors is often better value than buying new, and the respray is what makes a mixed-source fleet look like a single operation rather than a collection of acquisitions.

The work covers the cab exterior, the door jambs and hood underside that show when opened, and the chassis components that are visible in service.

- Cab exterior refinishing to fleet standard color
- Jamb and underside coverage so opened doors match
- Chassis component refinishing and coating
- Previous graphics removal and surface correction
- New fleet graphics application after cure

## Lease turn-in preparation

Lease return inspections assess appearance and charge back for damage. On a unit with multiple scrapes and a failed finish, a respray before turn-in frequently costs less than the chargebacks it prevents.

We can assess against the specific lease standard and tell you where the economics actually land rather than assuming a respray is always worth it.

## Questions

**Do you paint the chassis as well as the cab?**

The visible chassis components, yes. A full chassis-off refinish is a different scope and is rarely justified on a working fleet unit.

**Is respraying before lease return worth it?**

Frequently yes, but it depends on the chargeback schedule. We will look at the actual damage against the standard and give you a straight answer rather than an automatic recommendation.

**Can you remove the previous operator's graphics?**

Yes. Removal plus surface correction plus refinishing is the standard sequence when bringing a used unit into a fleet.
